I am Jenny Alvarado,

an author-illustrator living in sometimes sunny, mostly rainy, Florida.

I was born and raised in Miami, Florida. Currently living in the Space Coast with my fiancé, our son and our dog.

As the proud daughter of Cuban immigrants I feel lucky to have grown up in a city filled with my culture as well as a multitude of others. Growing up I didn't see it that way. Being a first generation American was confusing but the older I got the more I realized what a blessing it was.

I hope to bring some of my experiences into my art and stories.

My debut picture book, Agent Unicorn, will be out in Fall 2024 with Page Street Kids.
